The Board’s primary role is stewardship.
The board oversees the operations of the organization to ensure that the organization’s activities are being conducted in a way that achieves the organization’s objectives as identified in its constitution.
Board members are encouraged to take an active part on committees as contributing members or as chairs guiding the activities.
The association aims to enhance community well-being in the west-centre area of Ottawa by providing financial support for children and youth from low-income households to participate in recreational programs at the Plant Recreation Centre and Plouffe Park. Additionally, we operate and supervise skating rinks at Plouffe Park, offer structured drop-in programming for youth aged 6-16 with educational and recreational activities, and contribute to community well-being by maintaining and preserving recreational spaces for general public use.
