Saturday June 2, 2018 is National Health and Fitness Day!

On Saturday, June 2, 2018 there will be Free admission to Plant Pool Recreation Centre (930 Somerset St W).  And Free yoga in the park at 8:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.  The yoga sessions will be given by Julia Long, certified classical Yoga Nidra Instructor and Teacher Trainer.

The itinerary includes:

8:45a.m. to 9:30 a.m.     Session I Free Yoga in the Park (Certified classical Yoga Nidra instructor Julia Long to animate session)

9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Session 2 Free Yoga in the Park (Julia Long)

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Soccer tournament (Suzanne Monette lead)

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Basketball tournament (Suzanne Nash lead)

11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments  (Carol Sissons and Ann to lead)

The following location has been selected to receive an HKCC Park Play Bin.         Plouffe Park / Plant Recreation Centre

We have received funding from the Ministry of Health through the Healthy Kids Community Challenge (HKCC) initiative. These bins are placed in priority neighborhoods and filled during the spring and summer with outdoor toys (soccer balls, skipping ropes, frisbees, sand toys etc…) that children can play with and return.
